Cycle Count Schedule Generator
Estimate daily count assignments with more frequent high-priority counts.
What would you like to do next?
Distribute count assignments across available days
Enter the number of inventory items, counting days in the cycle, the percentage treated as high priority and how many times those items should be counted. The generator gives all other items one assignment, totals the resulting workload and reports both the average and rounded-up whole-number assignments per counting day.
Set priorities from the organization's policy
The tool does not classify items or recommend an ABC threshold. Value, movement, shrinkage risk, criticality and prior discrepancies may all affect frequency. Define the cycle and recount rules, preserve audit trails and investigate differences rather than treating completion of the arithmetic target as inventory accuracy.
Frequently asked questions
Are all items counted at least once?
Yes. Non-priority items receive one assignment in the modeled cycle.
Who decides which items are high priority?
The organization must define priority from its own inventory-control policy.
Why is the daily target rounded up?
Count assignments are whole tasks even when the average per day is fractional.
